Friday evening (November 12, 2021), first time since its establishment in May this year, SVBG’s Vietnam Representation members joyfully met in-person in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ho Chi Minh City (SVBG) – The meeting at RuNam Bistro on Đồng Khởi street in District 1 observed all required sanitation measures with all participants having been fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 viruses.
In addition to the entire Vietnam-based Team, the meeting was also attended by Honorary President and Chief Advisor – Mr LUONG Van My Thien and Co-founder and Secretary General – Mr Axel ARMELLIN-NGUYEN, who arrived in Ho Chi Minh City from Switzerland right before the business center entered into months-long complete lockdown due to the 4th outbreak which started by the end of April.
The Vietnam Representation was officially established on May 15 through a video-conference two months after SVBG was publicly launched to the Swiss business community at the webinar Market Focus: Vietnam that SVBG jointly organized with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services CCIG on March 2, 2021.
Joining the gathering in Ho Chi Minh City virtually from Switzerland were Founder and President Nguyen Thi Thuc and Secretary Sharon Cao.
As Ho Chi Minh City and entire Vietnam are still coping with challenging developments of the Covid-19 transmission, like in many other countries in the world, the SVBG first-ever offline meeting at large scale acknowledged the adoption of “living with Covid-19” strategy that Vietnamese people have gradually understood and accepted.
Ho Chi Minh City started to cautiously remove lockdown directives since October 1.
SVBG strongly believes the southern business center of Vietnam will soon recover and regain its pre-Covid vibrancy and dynamics. SVBG
